Daniel P.M. Jim | Founder, Managing Director and CIO

27-year veteran in the asset management industry, Daniel started off his career in Europe with Nomura International in the early ninties and has been instrumental in the first ever Chinese equity investments of major European institutions, from mutual funds, insurances to sovereign wealth funds. Daniel subsequently founded Tripod Management in 1999, focusing in alternative investment strategies. Over the years, Daniel has established himself as one of the pioneers in hedge fund investing in Asia, allocated to over 100 hedge funds globally and in the region. Daniel earned his Bachelor and Master degrees at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy respectively upon graduating from St. Joseph’s College in Hong Kong.
